ELECTROPLATING

Electroplating is also known as electrodeposition. As the name suggests, the process involves depositing material using an electric current. This process results in a thin layer of metal being deposited onto the surface of a workpiece. Electroplating is primarily used to change the physical properties of an object. This process can be used to give objects increased wear resistance, corrosion protection or aesthetic appeal, as well as increased thickness.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced Durability: Protects against corrosion and wear.

  • Aesthetic Appeal: Offers a shiny, smooth finish in various metals.

  • Customization: Tailored thickness and metal types for diverse applications.

PATINATION

Patination is an art form that artificially ages metals, bringing out unique colors and textures that add character and depth. Our expert artisans apply various chemicals to the surface of metals such as bronze, copper, and brass to achieve spectacular color transformations. This process is perfect for artistic installations, architectural elements, and any project where a distinctive, aged look is desired.

Benefits:

  • Unique Aesthetics: Creates visually striking color patterns.

  • Versatility: Suitable for a wide range of metals.

  • Longevity: Ensures a durable finish that enhances the metal’s natural beauty.

PATINA FINISHES

Our expert craftsmanship transforms metal surfaces with an array of stunning colors and textures, from rich, earthy browns to vibrant, contemporary hues. Each finish is applied to highlight the unique character of the metal, ensuring a durable and aesthetically pleasing result.

WAND PLATING

Offering precise control over the electroplating process, our Wand Plating services provide an innovative solution for larger items that cannot be accommodated in conventional plating tanks. This technique is also perfect for targeted plating on specific areas of a part, ensuring precision and efficiency.

Benefits:

  • Flexibility in Application: Capable of plating on large or fixed installations that are impractical to move or fully submerge in a tank.

  • Precision Targeting: Ideal for detailed selective plating, allowing targeted application to specific part areas needing enhancement or restoration.

  • Efficient and Cost-Effective: Reduces the need for complete part disassembly, saving time and minimizing potential damage to sensitive components.

HOW IT'S DONE

When the gold or other metal plating solution is "brushed" onto the item, the electrical circuit is completed and the metal bonds to the item in the area you brushing.
